Wildomar mixes horse properties on an acre with tracts built last decade, often on the same road. The renovation questions are different in each.
A good part of Wildomar is still semi-rural: ranch homes and older custom houses on half-acre and larger lots, some with horse facilities, along Grand Avenue and up toward the Cleveland National Forest. Along Clinton Keith Road and the freeway corridor, Wildomar has newer subdivisions with the same builder-grade finishes as the rest of the valley. The first-year list there is familiar: fans, backsplash, baseboards, paint and the garage. A few years on, it is flooring and the master bath.
Wildomar's exposure to the afternoon wind coming up from Lake Elsinore means exterior finishes take a beating. Fascia, stucco corners and window caulk are the first things to go. We look at those on any exterior estimate and fix them before paint so the repaint lasts.
