A Century of Housing in One City

Downtown Lake Elsinore and the streets near the lake have homes going back to the 1920s, with everything from the 1950s through the 1980s scattered around them. These older houses need a different approach: plaster instead of drywall in the oldest, galvanised plumbing, original windows, and layouts that predate the open plan. Renovating one is more careful work, and more rewarding, because the bones are often better than anything built since.
